Quantum Software

Quantum hardware is in rapid development, but only tailored Quantum Algorithms, Protocols and Software can harness the full power of quantum bits. I will illustrate this with recent work ranging from communication, cryptography to computation.

Bio: Laura Mančinska (PhD) is an Associate Professor at QMATH, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Her main research focus is quantum computing with the goal of identifying new information processing tasks where quantum technologies hold an advantage over conventional ones. She is particularly interested in the phenomenon of quantum entanglement and how it can be leveraged for operational and cryptographic tasks. She has authored over 30 scientific papers on quantum computing that are published in premier journals, including Sience. Laura currently leads a Villum Young Investigator project on Trustworthy Quantum Technologies and an ERC Starting Grant project on Quantum Information Processing with Interacting Parties.
